Reverend Howard D. Preston, Pastor Emeritus of Anderson Hills Church, beloved husband of Jo Ann Preston (nee Knore); devoted father of Randall H. (Joni), Michael W. (Nancy) Preston, & the late Deborah (Jeff) Krumpelman; loving grandfather of Daniel (Nikki) Preston, Laura (Curtis) Robison, Jacob (Lauren) Preston, Zachary (Megan) Preston, Kylie (Reed) Davis, Brooke (Alex) Osburn, Stacey Krumpelman, Shelby Krumpelman and the late Preston Jeffery(PJ) Krumpelman; caring great grandfather of Brylie Preston, Evan Preston, Isaac Robison, Anna Robison, Landyn Preston, Millie Preston, Levi Preston, and Jamie Preston. Passed away April 1, 2024, at the age of 87. Resident of Union Twp. Howard was born on Easter Sunday April 12, 1936.
Howard graduated from Marshall University, Huntington, West Virginia, 1958, and from The Methodist Theological Seminary, Delaware, Ohio, 1963. He served South Point Methodist, Lucasville Methodist, Oak Harbor Methodist, Friendship United Methodist, and Anderson Hills United Methodist, before retiring in 1998. After retiring, he served as Pastor at Newtown United Methodist for over a decade.
Howard and his wife Jo Ann loved traveling throughout the world. He led Worship Services in Israel, Switzerland, Ireland, Sweden, Germany and Russia, and on-board cruise ships, as part of his work for Educational Opportunities.
A Funeral Service will be held at Anderson Hills Church, 7515 Forest Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45255 on Sat. April 6, 2024, at 11am. Friends may visit the Church on Saturday from 10am-11am. Private interment at Spring Grove Cemetery.
