Thomas Eugene Cusic, age 76, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away after a courageous battle with colorectal cancer. He was born on March 8, 1950, in Mansfield Ohio, son of the late Gene and Ethel Cusic. Tom lived a life defined by generosity, warmth, quick wit, humor and an unwavering devotion to those he loved.
Loving father of Lynne Cusic (James M.) Steele and the late Tracy Ann Cusic, proud grandfather of Lauren Anne Steele, Alexander James Steele, Madeleine Anne Steele, dear brother of Cheryl Cusic (the late Anthony) Linz and Jeffrey Lee Cusic, Uncle Bear of Barbara Linz (Martin) Bibb, Jennifer Linz (Eric) Glenn, Margaret Linz (Nick) Guilkey, and the late Katherine Colleen Linz, also survived by his Aunt Rosalie Cusic of Mansfield, OH and Mary Ann Mathes Cusic, former wife.
Tom graduated from McNicholas High School in 1968, where he played both basketball and baseball and encompassed school spirit. A lifelong, passionate Musketeer fan, Tom earned a communications degree from Xavier University in 1971.
Tom enjoyed volunteering his time at Immaculate Heart of Mary and Springer School as a girls and boys basketball coach. He was also the former booster President of Immaculate Heart of Mary and booster member of McNicholas High School.
Tom spent his career in sales as a representative of Thomas E Cusic Associates and Co.
After retirement, Tom enjoyed driving bus for Forest Hills School District, where he was known as "Mr. Thomas" and let his students pick their music of choice on Fridays. This made him truly happy.
Tom loved his family dearly. One of his last comments was how proud he was of his grandchildren Lauren, Alex , and Maddie and their accomplishments. He had a unique gift of friendship and those that were his friend knew that they were valued and loved.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 10:00AM at Immaculate heart of Mary Church (7820 Beechmont Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45255). Friends may visit the church for a visitation from 9:00-10:00AM.
