Howard Vernon Reardon, Jr., aged 58, of Lexington, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Community Health North in Indianapolis, Indiana. Born on December 19, 1966, in Scottsburg, IN, he was the son of Howard Vernon (Zella) Reardon Sr. and Mary Rebecca (Jim) Robinson Wilder. Howard's life was a testament to his strength, humor, and the profound love he had for his family and the great outdoors.

Howard was a man of many passions. He had an unwavering love for deer hunting and fishing, pursuits that allowed him to embrace the serenity of nature. His happiest moments were spent in the company of his adored grandchildren, Brooklyn, Derrick James, Ally, Hunter, Rion, and Tyson. Howard's playful spirit and his unique way of "giving people HELL" will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his devoted life companion, Cindy Nichols, who stood by him through life's many adventures. Howard's legacy continues through his daughters, Robin (Cody) Coulter of Austin, Indiana; Tiffany (Matt) Arnold of Scottsburg, Indiana; Amber (Derrick) Hensley of Austin, Indiana; and Brittney Nichols of Lexington, Indiana. His memory will also be cherished by his brothers, Vernon Junior (Melissa) Reardon of Scottsburg, Indiana; Rick Lee (Tena) Reardon of Salem, Indiana; John Wayne Reardon of Nabb, Indiana; and his sister, Margie Marie Reardon of Scottsburg, Indiana.

Howard's funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Buchanan Funeral Home in Austin, Indiana, with Rev. Jack Sanders officiating. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during visitation hours from 10 am to 1 pm on Saturday at Buchanan Funeral Home. Following the service, Howard will be laid to rest at Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, Indiana.

Howard Vernon Reardon, Jr.'s life was a journey filled with laughter, love, and the occasional mischief. His spirit, a beacon of joy and resilience, will continue to guide and inspire those he has left behind.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to the family in c/o Buchanan Funeral Home.
