Howard Earl Rose, 80, of Roanoke Rapids, NC passed away Saturday, January 10, 2026, at ECU North Hospital. Howard was born February 16, 1945, in Halifax County to the late Howard Paul Rose and Edna Earl Taylor Rose. He is also preceded in death by his brothers Bobby Rose and Rusty Rose.
Howard learned woodworking at an early age. He became a cabinet maker and worked for Quality Cabinets before he retired. He also served proudly in the Army and National Guard. He loved his family and spending time with them at the beach. Most of all he loved his Savior and Lord Jesus Christ and was a faithful member of the Roanoke Rapids Church of God.
Howard is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Linda Rose and his son Kevin Rose of Greenville, his brother Doug Rose of Littleton, his sisters Jeanette Waugh (Larry) of Roanoke Rapids and Sharon Tucker of Nashville, NC.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at Roanoke Rapids Church of God with Pastor Richard Gibson officiating. The family will receive friends after the service.
