Sharon Everette Crumpler, 90, of Roanoke Rapids passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 in Liberty Commons. Ms. Crumpler was born in Halifax County on August 5, 1935, the daughter of Nerva Mae Garner and Clifton Lee Everette and was the widow of James “Poochie” Crumpler.
Ms. Crumpler enjoyed reading, loved to garden, enjoyed making arts & crafts, and decorating her home.
Surviving include her children: Pam Coyne (Joe), Sandra Smith, Kathy Holt (Owen), and Kent Crumpler; her sister Leah Everette, her grandchildren: Kristen Kennedy (Eddie), Brandon Crumpler, Jessica Smith, Hunter Coyne, Laura Coyne (Andrew), Will Smith (Jess), and Alec Crumpler; and her great grandchildren: Kaylee Kennedy, Ethan Byrd, and Evan Kennedy.
A Private service will be held in Mrytle Beach at a later date. The family will receive friends at the home of Pam and Joe Coyne, 208 Hunting Ridge Road in Roanoke Rapids on Friday, March 6, 2026 from 5:00 – 7:30 PM. Friends may sign the online register by visiting www.hockadayfs.com. Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service is serving the Crumpler family.
