Howard Laurence “Larry” Schochet, age 92 of St. Petersburg Florida, formerly of St. Paul passed away August 25th, 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois; his brother, Steve; his parents, George and Beulah; and his son-in-law, Michael Volk. He is survived by his sister, Rivka Schochet (Claude); his partner, Yetta Slott; his children, Joanna Volk, Wesley (Sheryl) Schochet, and Gregg Schochet; his grandchildren, Gordon, Eli, Sophia and Jillian Volk; Austin and Amber Schochet; Elliot and Molly Schochet; and great grandchildren, Stevie and Mylah. 

Larry was a graduate of Central High School, The University of Minnesota, and The University of Minnesota Medical School. He was an anesthesiologist and practiced at Midway Hospital in St. Paul and Hennepin County Medical Center. Larry was happiest on his boat on the Saint Croix River. He was a longtime member and board member of the St. Croix Yacht Club, and an active member of Temple of Aaron and The JCC in St. Paul.For those who wish to contribute in Larry’s memory, please consider The Minnesota JCC or the Temple of Aaron.
