Howard S. Sinclair, III, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 23, 2026, in Greenwood, Indiana. A lifelong Hoosier, Howard was a longtime resident of Indianapolis and a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Howard was born on October 22, 1945, in Indianapolis to Howard S. Sinclair, Jr. and Helen Harris Sinclair. On March 4, 1967, he married the love of his life, Gloria Faulconer. Together they built a life centered on family, faith, and friendship that spanned nearly six decades.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Gloria Sinclair of Indianapolis; his three sons, Jeffrey (Krista) Sinclair, Wm Jay (Carolyn) Sinclair, and James (Kathy) Sinclair; and his cherished grandchildren, Caitlin (Daniel) Hacker, Tyler (Leah) Sinclair, Keven (Tina) Jones, Kyle (Alex) Jones, and Kenny (Kelsi) Jones, Dani (Aaron) Jackson, Jake Jackson, and several great-grandchildren who brought him immense pride and joy.

Howard proudly served his country as a veteran of the Indiana National Guard. He earned his bachelor's degree from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business and went on to enjoy a successful and rewarding career in finance. He served as Vice President of Finance at Wabash Alloys in Wabash, Indiana, for more than 15 years. Later, he brought his financial expertise and steady leadership to St. Pierre Family Funeral and Cremation Services, where he served as lead financial officer.

Howard had a zest for life and treasured time spent golfing, boating, skiing, and taking family vacations. He was known for his warm smile, quick wit, and hearty laugh. Above all, he loved gathering with friends and family, sharing stories, and creating memories filled with laughter.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00–6:00 PM on Thursday, March 5, at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service, Franklin Township Chapel, 5950 E. Thompson Road, Indianapolis.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana University Alumni Association, P.O. Box 6460, Indianapolis, IN 46206.
