Passed away Monday Sept. 26, 2022 at home. Preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Genevieve Walters; siblings, Deborah Cook, Steven Walters, and William "Billy" Walters; and in-laws, James and CloAnn Proulx. Survived by his children, Bradley (Courtney), Krista, Janelle, Derek, Nicholas, and Ryan; grandchildren, Aidan, Jadelynn, Eliza, Eleanor, Ashlynn, Noah, and Alexis; siblings, Denise (Jerry Hamm) Walters, Diane, Jim (Susan); sister-in-law, Valerie Walters; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Memorial Service 6:00 PM, Thursday Oct. 6th at Sandberg Funeral Home, 2593 E. Seventh Ave., North Saint Paul. (Visitation 2 - 6 PM)
Reception at the North Saint Paul Legion to follow.

Man, I haven't seen "Howie" in years. What a nice guy, always upbeat. Used to see him up at the archery range in Oakdale in the 80's..gonna miss him. I found his obituary by accident, and recognized his picture. If I would have known of his passing. I surely would have went to the service.

Howie I sure will miss seeing you in downtown North St. Paul during the car shows. You were a great guy and I will miss you my friend.
We met when your son Nick and my son used to play hockey together and I always remember how nice you were especially on the out of town tournaments we went on. Until we meet again my friend.....god speed

Howie was a wonderful grandpa and loved you so much. He was always excited to come watch you play hockey, and had the joy of watching you grow up into the person you are today. He will be sorely missed by all.

We are so sorry for your loss. Howie was such a great guy, and we had a lot of fun with him when our son played hockey with Brad. We hope the sorrow of the family will be easier when they remember the good times and all the people who loved him.

I grew up down the street from Howie and went through the school years with him. He was such a nice guy and always ready to share a laugh. In the later years I visited his ice cream parlor and we would sit a reminisce about those early years. My sincere thoughts go out to the Walters family.
