Howard "Ray" Williams of Comanche, Texas passed away on January 4, 2026. Ray was born on March 18, 1955 in Ranger, Texas. Ray grew up in Eastland, Texas and graduated from Eastland High School in 1973. His first jobs included work in the oil field and construction. In 1990, he followed in the footsteps of his father and grandfather and opened Frontier Boot Shop in Comanche, Texas. Ray learned the trade as a young man working in his Dad's boot and shoe shop in Eastland. He found his home in Comanche, Texas. Up until just a few weeks ago, his business was still open. Ray enjoyed his work, loved his customers, and loved Comanche. Ray's hobbies included fishing, camping, and deer hunting. He was a Master Mason, Past Master, and an active memor of Hope Lodge #481 in Comanche. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Dorthy Williams of Eastland, Texas. Ray is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Kathy Williams of Brownwood. He is also survived by his nieces Clarissa Williams of Azle and Carrie Sray of Pflugerville.
