Howard Emmitt Wilson Sr., 81, passed away on March 19, 2025. He was born to the late Everette and Lettie Wilson on April 23, 1943 in Pemberton, West Virginia.
Howard "Buddy" retired from Whirlpool in 2005. He later worked part-time at the Circle K on Durkee Rd, where he also enjoyed a cup of coffee EVERYDAY, no matter the weather, with his friends. He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan, and received many awards for his talent in bowling. Howard "Buddy" loved the Lord with all his heart and enjoyed worshiping with his fellow members at Pine Hill Church of God. There was no such thing as a bad Western movie to him. He looked forward to reuniting with his bride of 47 years, who went to be with the Lord in 2010. He will be missed by all that knew him.
In addition to his parents, Howard is preceded in death by his beloved and cherished wife of 47 years, Frieda Wilson, and siblings, Ronnie Wilson and Loretta Diehl.
Howard is survived by his sons, Howard (Deidre) Wilson Jr. of Henderson, NV, and Curtis (Allyson) Wilson of Shepherdstown, WV, Cheryl Wilson the "daughter" he always wanted; grandchildren, Britany, Howard, Alexander, Connor, and Anna "Pix" Wilson, Victoria (Josh) Meyers, Heather (Patrick) Tanguy, and Christopher Price, and sister, Ramona Motter of Pemberton, WV.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 6pm at Companion Funeral Home- Cleveland Chapel with Pastor Jason Ollis officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 4:00- 6:00pm prior to the service. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 27th, 2025 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Beckley, West Virginia at 2:00pm.
