Howell “Frank” Stafford, 83, of Rossville, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Franciscan Health Lafayette East hospital. He was born July 1, 1941, in Adolphus, Kentucky, to Obie and Lucille (Rainey) Stafford. He married Sharon Ream on June 15, 1969, in Colfax and she survives.
Frank was a graduate of Rossville High School, class of 1959. He worked at Fairfield Manufacturing, now Dana, for 44 years before he retired in 2003. He attended Rossville Bible Fellowship. He enjoyed bowling, playing miniature golf, horseback riding, and going to grandchildren’s sporting and school activities. Frank was a very easy-going guy, with a kind heart and a selfless demeanor. He was known for remembering everyone’s birthday’s and sending cards. His positive outlook will be missed by those that knew him.
Along with his wife of 55 years, Frank is survived by his daughter, Lisa (Tom Adams) Stafford-Adams; son, Kevin Stafford; sister, Pat (Bob) Wells; grandchildren, Samantha Adams and Taylor Thompson; and nieces, Anita Young and Linda Stingley.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mildred Morrison.
Visitation will be held, Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 1pm until the time of the service at 3pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home ~ Bodine Chapel in Rossville. Pastor Chris Albin will officiate. Burial will follow at Rossville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Frank’s honor to the Clinton County Boy’s and Girl’s Club. Messages of condolence may be left at www.dayandgenda.com.
