Thomas Adams

Thomas E. "Tom" Adams, 79, of Rossville, formerly of Oxford, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Franciscan Hospital Lafayette East. He was born February 10, 1947, in Rushville to Harold and Eva (Borem) Adams. He married Donna Shaw on August 7, 1974, and she survives.

Tom attended Clinton Prairie High School before joining the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as an Administrator for Hickory Creek, managing their nursing homes for 25 years until his retirement in 2016. He was an avid Purdue sports fan. He enjoyed eating chocolate, spending time at the lake, going gambling, and talking politics. He was known for his wonderful fish fries that he would have at work and for his family. He loved being around his friends and family, especially spoiling his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Along with his wife of 52 years, Tom is survived by his children, Michelle (Michael) Yates of Colorado; Tony (Wendi) Flack, Tracey (Tammi) Flack; siblings, Barbara Staker, Mark (Sandi) Adams, Jerry (Jennifer) Adams, and Joan (Larry) Blessing; grandchildren, Justin Moore, Kyle Moore, Nathan Moore, Kyle Cupp, Traci (Matthew) Smith, Logan (Braden) Giroux, Mady Flack, Tony Keene; and eight great grandchildren.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Bill Adams, Kathleen Davis, and Shirley Ralston.

A memorial visitation will be held Friday, March 7, 2026, at Day & Bodine Funeral Home ~ Bodine Chapel in Rossville from 1pm until the time of the celebration of life at 3pm. Pastor Ross Terry.
