Hoyt Tuck Obituary

Hoyt (Bug) Tuck, Jr., age 77, of Cleveland, GA, formerly of Buford, GA, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025. He was preceded in death by parents, Hoyt and Vera Mae Collins Tuck; brothers, Larry, Dennis, Charles, Leon, and Troy; sisters, Betty Brown, Vickie Sue Dean, and Judy Hayes. He is survived by wife of fifty-three years, Mary Sue Poole Tuck of Cleveland, GA; daughters, Amanda (Mandy) McCracken and Jamie, Sarah Tuck, and Jonathan Green; grandchildren, Charity, Matthew, Lily and Hannah McCracken, and Jaxston Ledford; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Tuck was born on October 2, 1948 in Buford, GA. He received his education from Buford City School System. Bug was a man of many trades, from construction work, working with G-DOT to driving a school bus. He never met a stranger. He was loud and loved to talk to have a friend you have to be a friend. He loved his family and church friends. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church, Clermont, GA and a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church, Cleveland, GA prior to that. While in Gwinnett County he was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church, Lawrenceville, GA. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. David Bailey officiating, Brother Joe Duke giving the eulogy, Hannah McCracken giving the tribute. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 9, 2025 from 3:30 until 8:00 p.m. and again on Monday, November 10, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
