Ruth was the most loving, kind, and giving human being that I have ever known. She was truly a gift from God.
Ruth was born on April 9, 1977, in Glendale, Arizona, and went to live with the Lord on October 19, 2025. She was the only child of her mother, but she leaves behind many cousins, aunts, and uncles who love her dearly.
Ruth always had a deep love for family. She was the happiest when we were all together – sharing breakfast, celebrating at reunions, singing, or playing games. She was quite competitive, and often, when she saw everyone gathered in one room, she would smile and say, "This makes me happy."
Ruth is survived by her devoted husband, Paul (Lamont, Mont, Zeke, Ezekiel), and their three children whom she adored: Josiah, Joshua, and Jessah, as well as her mother and a large circle of loving relatives.
Ruth graduated from Schenley High School in Pittsburg Pennsylvania and attended Penn State University as an engineering major. Before moving to Atlanta, she worked for Mellon Bank and later the City of Pittsburg Police Department – a role she truly enjoyed. Most recently, she worked for Intec Billing, LLC/CSG International. Her strong work ethic often led her to put others first, and she rarely took the vacations she deserved.
Ruth had a passion for music and art and held a great appreciation for drum lines – she could hardly keep still when she heard one. She was creative, enjoyed sewing, and loved working on a variety of crafting projects.
On December 12, 2012, Ruth married the love of her life, Paul. Their family became complete with the births of Josiah, Joshua, and Jessah. As her children grew, she became deeply involved in their education and well-being. She served as president of the Mulberry Elementary School PTA while also holding the position of Secretary for District 12 PTA. She was a room parent and devoted many hours to supporting the school library. Ruth was also the chairperson and secretary of our family reunion and a beloved member of her church family.
Her personality and character are beautifully described in Proverbs 31:10 -31. Ruth demonstrated her love daily through her kindness, her generosity, and her devotion to her husband and family, and everyone around her.
Those who knew her will remember her gentle spirit, her compassion, her love for God and family, and her desire to serve others.
As 2 Timothy 4:7-8 reminds us, Ruth fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith. We take comfort in knowing she now receives the crown of righteousness prepared for her by the Lord.
May her love and kindness remain forever in the hearts of all who love her.
Funeral service will be held Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 11 AM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. William Terry will officiate. Interment will follow at Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 10 AM – 11 AM at the funeral home.
