Nancy Elaine Causey, beloved member of her community and family, peacefully passed away on November 2, 2025, at her residence in Wooton, Kentucky. She was 56 years old. Born on September 15, 1969, in Hyden, Kentucky, Nancy was a treasured daughter, wife, mother, sister, and grandmother whose warm presence will be deeply missed.
Throughout her life, Nancy dedicated herself to her career at Hazard ARH Medical Center in Hazard, Kentucky, where she served with compassion and commitment. Her work not only reflected her professional abilities but also her desire to help others, showcasing her deep caring nature.
A devoted member of the Wooton Baptist Church, Nancy was active in her faith community, finding strength and support through her spiritual beliefs. Her faith guided her in all aspects of her life and inspired those around her.
Nancy had a passion for horseback riding, which brought her joy and allowed her to connect with the beauty of nature. She also cherished time spent on housework, finding satisfaction in creating a nurturing home for her loved ones. Most importantly, Nancy was devoted to her family, relishing every moment spent with them.
She leaves behind a loving family that includes her husband, Ernest Causey; mother, Lorraine Callahan Kilburn; son, Warner Day and Felicia; daughter, Keisha Coots; brother, Warner Kilburn and Kathy; sisters, Martha Estep and Eric, and Marida Fouts and Elbert; and her cherished grandchildren, LaKendra, Brayden, Kiyah, Logan, Ethan, Lexi, and Laya.
Nancy is preceded in death by her biological father Orele Maggard; dad who raised her as his own: Bob Jr. Kilburn; her son, Charles Ray Day; and her sister, Becky Jones. The legacy of love she leaves behind will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew her.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wooton Baptist Church at Wooton Kentucky with Scott Harvey speaking.
