The daily thoughts of my Pastor Hubert L.Powell brings joy and sadness. I wish we had more time to talk. Then the joy of knowing a great man of God who has had a powerful impact on my life. His method of preaching/teaching with some humor at times. I have came to understand that God wants me to fully surrender all of me to doing God's Will. I was introduced to Pastor Powell's music in the late 90's listening to WOAK in Atlanta . His instrumentals from the Keep on Pressing on album were used thru out the broadcasts (It took me years to find out who he was!). I was a new minister and would listen to his music over and over every day.
Now me and my family listen to him and Doobie and even watch the YouTube clips of Kevin and the remainder of the family. You and your family have inspired a generation of believers in the art of praise and soulful celebration of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Thank you for making gospel music "cool" for me. Peace and blessings to you all in your loss and continue to "Keep Pressing On".

It is with great sadness do you know that Pastor power is no longer with us my heart is very heavy the love that I have for him and his wife in my church family over 35 years he will be greatly missed with all the great memories of preaching and all of the information that he gave me and my child with a year ago me losing my sandwich on and I lost my sister I be with her on 12 2021 it hurts so much to know that they´re never coming back but I will always keep my memories and fun of me and say the power family I love you all I love all of you for so many yearsI will keep praying for you and please keep praying for me Kevin pick up the phone and call me with Sean wants you to call me I love you all God bless

Hubert was anointed by God to play the organ and he was our musician for the choir and his mother, Sister Edith Powell was our director. I will always remember the fun times we all had together.
