Hugh Barre Brown, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son,

brother and friend, passed peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, December 17th. He

was born September 7th, 1940 in Murray, Utah to Cammy and William Brown of

Midvale, Utah. He graduated from Jordan High School in 1958, entered the Navy in

service of his country in May 1959, married his beloved Shelia in December 1964 before

being honorably discharged in 1965. Hugh and Shelia raised four children, originally

moving from Utah to Redwood City, then living in Fremont, California before finally

settling in Tracy, California in 1983. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Shelia,

his parents, his brother Thamer, sister-in-law Dixie, and sisters Sharon and Karen. He is

survived by daughter Shauna, and sons Hugh II (aka Skip), Douglas and Richard,

grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Hugh was an Electronic Research and Development Engineer and inventor who loved

God, his family and his country. After his retirement, Hugh and Shelia volunteered

much of their time in service of their Church and community. His generous heart,

infectious laughter and sarcastic wit will be missed and remembered by many for years

to come.

There will be a viewing on Monday, January 5th from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm with the

memorial service immediately following from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Fry Memorial

Chapel, 550 S. Central Avenue in Tracy, California.

The committal service will be on Tuesday, January 6th promptly at 2:00 pm at San

Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, 32053 McCabe Rd, Santa Nella, CA.
