Hughleen Howell Fain Hykel, 88, of Leonard, Texas, passed away on July 23, 2025, at the Colonial Lodge. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas, with Jeremy Ogdie officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Hughleen was born September 4, 1936, in Tyler, Texas, to Hugh and Evelyn Turner Howell. She married Cleo Fain on October 10, 1953, in Smith County. They raised their family in Mesquite, Texas. Moved to Wills Point, Texas where they lived till Cleo passed. She married Robert Hykel on June 15, 2001, in Mesquite, Texas. They lived in Edgewood, Texas. After Robert passed she moved to Leonard, Texas. She worked for St. Regis Paper Company and Walmart. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Wills Point, Texas.

Hughleen is survived by her children, David Fain, Cynthia Ramzy and husband, Andy, Tommy Fain and wife, Vali, Sharon Grintz and husband, Darrell; sisters, Glenda White, Joyce Stanglin; grandchildren, Robert Grintz and wife, Heather, Jason Grintz and wife, DeAnn, Phillip Grintz, James Grintz and wife, Christina, Yare Fain and wife, Christina, Summer MaKerney and husband, Preston, Shawn Ramzy and wife, Julaina, Justin Ramzy, Laci Hock and husband, Joseph, Madison Fain; great-grandchildren, Marianne, Claudia, Allison and husband, Joey, Garrett and wife, GiGi, Sam and wife, Caraline, Aubree, Robert, Jr., Chris, Amelia, Oliver, Peyton, Sadie, Bailey, Kypton, Elijah, Hope, Nicholas, Cloe, Rayne, McCartney, Anakin, Jesse, Jemma, Micah, Mary Grace, Evelyn; great-great-grandchildren, Harper, Landon, Liam, Adalee, Eli, Cayde and Myla.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands; sister, Georgie Howell; Jimmy Howell; granddaughter, Elizabeth Ramzy and great-grandson, Johnathan Hock.
