HyungOk Lee, known affectionately as Harmoni, passed away peacefully from natural causes on October 3, 2025, at the age of 91. Her final days were spent surrounded by the love of her family in Middletown, New York. Born on December 30, 1933, in Seoul, South Korea, Harmoni's life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and family.

Harmoni's journey brought her from the vibrant streets of Seoul to the bustling life of Middletown, where she became a beloved member of the community. She was a proud graduate of her local high school, where she gained the knowledge and skills that would serve her throughout her life. A devout Christian, she lived her faith through her actions, treating everyone she met with kindness and compassion.

Harmoni was the loving matriarch of a large and close-knit family. She was predeceased by her cherished husband, Chang RaeSoo, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories. She carried the legacy of her family with pride, and she will be dearly missed by her children, Chang KyungHui, Chang MoonGil, Chang ChunHui, Sonhui Skinner, and Jang YeonHee. Her spirit will live on through her eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, who will remember her for her boundless love and the warmth of her smile.

A woman of many passions, Harmoni found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid crocheter, creating beautiful works that she lovingly shared with friends and family. Her cooking was legendary, and she took great delight in preparing meals that brought everyone together. Above all, Harmoni cherished spending time with her family, whether it was a quiet afternoon or a lively holiday gathering.

Those who knew Harmoni will remember her as the embodiment of love, passion, and friendliness. She had the innate ability to make everyone feel at home and valued. Her presence was a comforting touchstone for many, and her absence will be felt deeply by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

As we say goodbye to Harmoni, we celebrate a life extraordinarily well-lived. She was a beacon of light and love in the lives of those she touched, and her legacy will continue to inspire generations to come. Her unwavering spirit, generous heart, and the joy she found in every moment will be cherished memories that will comfort us as we carry her in our hearts forever.

HyungOk "Harmoni" Lee's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of devotion, family, and faith. As we reflect on her life, we are reminded of the impact one person can have on so many. We bid her a peaceful journey, knowing that her love will continue to guide us in the days ahead.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service will be offered at the funeral home.

Interment will take place immediately following at the Wallkill Cemetery, Middletown, NY.
