On November 1st surrounded by Family and Friends, Ian von Brendel left us for his next great journey.
To Ian, every stranger was a friend he hadn't met yet. Loved by many for his radiant smile, kind soul, generous heart and most of all his wicked sense of humor. He was a passionate soccer player and fan, but his real love in life was music.
Ian leaves behind his family and countless friends. But was welcomed into the afterlife by his Great Grandma Betty, Grandpa Bill, Grandma Liz, Grandpa Bob, Grandma, Aunt Judy, his friends Chris and Sammie, his beloved dog Zues and poor Hamstie.
If Ian could leave you with any parting wisdom, we suspect it might have been these words from his favorite author J.R.R. Tolkien:
"The journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take All we have to do is decide what to do with the time that is given us".
If you would like to make a memorial donation in Ian's name we would request Wonderland Camp, Rocky Mount, MO.
Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Saturday, November 9, 2024 at the John B. Busch Brewery in the Barrel Room at 108 Busch Ave. Washington, Missouri. 63090.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Homes, 1270 S Business Route 5, Camdenton, MO 65020 (573) 346-2090. Condolences may be left online for the family at www.hedgesscottmillard.com.
