Ian Finto Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jul. 26, 2024.
Ian Samuel Finto, also known to his family and friends as Lil'Nasty, Ol' Son, Hand, and the self-proclaimed "GOAT" was born in Corpus Christi, TX to his loving parents, David and Nichole Finto on May 3, 2005. He was deeply loved by his fiancé Gracie Parrott of Boerne, Tx; sisters, Morgan (Trace) Taylor of New Braunfels, Tx and Jordan Finto of New Braunfels, Tx; grandparents Sam & Ruth Finto of Orange Grove, Tx, Rudy & Pamela Falgout of New Braunfels, Tx, Smitty & Marta Dennis of Corpus Christi, Tx, great grandparents Emma Jean Sherry of Orange Grove, Tx, Marsha Harris of Orange, Tx; two precious nephews, Easton Cole Finto & Stetson James Taylor and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and friends that became family. Ian is preceded in death by his grandfather, Shane Book of Spring, Tx and great grandparents James Harris of Orange, Tx, Cora Lee Book of Orange, TX and Roy Dennis of Orange Grove, Tx. Ian left this world to enter paradise on July 24, 2024, leaving behind a profound legacy of love, faith, and inspiration.
Raised in the small town of Orange Grove, Tx, Ian had a passion for hunting, fishing and playing sports, especially basketball. He gained many lifelong friendships and made his way into the hearts of so many of the tightknit community. He graduated from New Braunfels High School where he added more "brothers" to the family. Even as a high school senior, he worked full-time and gained the title of assistant manager; often going in to work before school, after school and sometimes even skipping school. He had an entrepreneurial spirit where he started a "landscaping business" with his best friend on the weekends, he traded stocks & crypto during class and drop shipping until he finally set on the career path that he always aspired to have. Ian wanted to become an inspector, just like his Dad, and he finally got that opportunity with Stronghold Inspection. He was passionate about his new trade, loving the pace of working turnarounds and gaining more "brothers" on the road.
Ian was engaged to Gracie Belle Parrott, the love of his life and was to be married December 31, 2024. Together, they shared a vision of a life built on faith in Jesus and a pure love. Ian often spoke about his dreams of being the best husband and father, and his dedication to these goals was unwavering. Ian and Gracie recently started creating their home in Kemah, Tx where she traveled back and forth making sure her boy was taken care of until she was to move in after their wedding. Ian constantly spoke of starting a family with Gracie as soon as they wed, it was his ultimate goal in life.
Ian was a man of remarkable qualities. His deep empathy, boundless forgiveness, and driven spirit were hallmarks of his character. He lived his life with unconditional love, always demonstrating a steadfast faith in Jesus Christ. His commitment to his faith was evident in his daily actions and the way he encouraged those around him to "live more like Jesus". Ian's ability to inspire others through his actions and words was a testament to his mission here on earth. Because of Ian, several of his friends came to know Jesus, strengthened their spiritual walk and we have been told two of his friends decided against committing suicide. For this, we are the most proud of our son.
A celebration of Ian's remarkable life will be held at 1PM at Community Bible Church (CBC) in San Antonio, Tx where we will gather to honor his memory and reflect on the impact he had on our lives. CBC was his church home and he & Gracie worshipped their when he was home and, also on-line when out of town. Ian Samuel Finto's spirit and values will live on in the hearts of those who were touched by his presence. Although self-proclaimed, he truly was, and always will be the GOAT.
