It was November 2004, we were invited to join a good friend of ours, Thomas Morton, at an Edge Life Expo in Minneapolis! We were both trying to learn how to live life differently, we had many laughs & some not so funny stuff happen on this trip!! I will never forget it or Ian! He´s always had a special place in my heart!! Rest peacefully Ian!!! With love, Michelle S.

I knew Ian since I could remember growing up on West Lake four houses down. He was about 4 years older but always nice to us. Fond memories playing baseball in his yard. I appreciated him coming to my brother John´s funeral this past January. His honest and loving sharing of his struggles that were very similar to my brothers was touching. Addiction and mental illness is a noble struggle.

He was very kind to me , I met him when I worked at the treatment center and he worked at Borgess. My last memory with him was he gave me a pink recovery T-shirt!
