Mr. Kenneth Linwood Forrester, 81, of Highlands, NC passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2025.
Mr. Forrester was born May 31, 1944, in Haywood, County, NC to the late Jonah and Nettie Forrester. He was married 51 years to the late Kathryn Chastain Forrester who preceded him on January 27, 2022.
Kenneth worked and retired from Cashiers Plastic and Highlands Cashiers Hospital in the maintenance department.
He was an Army veteran being drafted for Vietnam when he was 25 and serving in Germany. He loved hanging out with his brothers and sisters when they were young and growing up. Kenneth was a NASCAR fan and served on the Highlands Fire Department in his early years. His greatest love was his family; he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his son, Robbie Forrester and his wife, Jennifer; five grandchildren, Demi Humaideh, Kate Pistolis, Austin Forrester, Gracie Williamson, and Carson Forrester; two great-grandchildren, Sadie Williamson and Jackson Williamson; three siblings, J.L. Forrester, Gene Forrester, and Ada Wilson; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Kenneth was preceded in death by a daughter, Anita Lynn Pistolis.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, September 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Highlands Memorial Park with the Rev. Paul Christy officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
