Ian Jamison Fraser

Ian Jamison Fraser returned to his Father in Heaven on Sunday September 21st after a long hard-fought battle with depression, anxiety and PTSD. Ian was a loving generous person with a quirky personality, a wicked sense of humor, and incredible intellect. Ian spent his entire adult life in service of others. After graduating from Delta High School, he fulfilled a lifelong dream of serving in the military and joined the United States Marine Corps. Ian proudly served in a tilt rotor unit and completed his commitment with a tour of duty in Afghanistan. Upon being released from active duty, Ian received training to become a CNA and faithfully cared for his Grandpa Don and Grandma Gail for five years. During this time, he also helped his mom care for his Grandma Beth. Before deciding to return to the workforce, Ian sought and received his Grandparents blessing to assure they would be ok. He was always willing to lend a hand. Besides his service to his country, Ian worked in the aviation industry, followed his dad and brother into coal lmining. He was currently working in Fiber Optics. Ian Enjoyed running, the outdoors, four wheeling with family, video gaming and watching silly movies with his dad. Ian loved to fish and became an avid and accomplished fly fisherman. Ian loved spending time with friends and family. Some of Ian’s greatest joys in life were fishing with his brother Colin, his pups, being an uncle and the opportunity to be a dad to a stepson. Ian was a history buff and was knowledgeable about any topic of discussion. Ian had a special way with children, older adults and dogs. Ian left behind his parents, Tim and Lynette (Randall) Fraser, brother Colin and Carla Fraser and their daughter Isabel (Izzy). Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, great aunts and uncles and friends who became family. Ian was preceded in death by both sets of grand parents George and Beth Randall and Don and Gail Fraser. An open house Celebration of life will be held at Bill Heddles Recreation Center on October 18th from 12:00-2:00pm. 531 North Palmer St. Delta, Colorado.
