Dr. Ian Pasco passed away at his home on January 16th, 2025. Ian was born at St. Mary's Hospital, London, England, on Sept 3, 1938, to Kenneth and Vera (nee Satchell) Pasco of London, England.
Susie and Ian met in Edinburgh, Scotland in March of 1979. Following a whirlwind courtship, he married Susie Adams Taylor on August 1, 1979, at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois.
Ian earned his doctorate in nuclear physics, and enjoyed a long successful career in optics. His passions were family, golf, travel, photography, and reading; and he loved studying all things science and history.
Ian leaves his wife Susie, and children Virginia Hall and John (Asli) Taylor of California; Marilyn (Charles) Misulia of Mississippi; grandchildren Katherine, Alexandra, Ellie, Emma, Madison, and Hudson; sister-in-law Marilyn Coleman (Richwood); extended family Colemans, Taylors, and Pruntys; and special friends Rick and Jeanne Marmon (Bellefontaine); Karen Zacek (Hilliard); Howard Grose (Richwood); and John Yoch and family (Illinois).
We would like to thank EMS of Rush Creek and all of the volunteer first responders for the many times they have helped us, and their great efforts in coming to his aid.
Ian’s family will receive friends on Thursday, January 23, 2025, from 4-6pm at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Bellefontaine. The family will have a celebration of Ian’s life at a later date.
