Icolene Roberta Shillingburg

Icolene Roberta Shillingburg, 83, of New Creek, WV, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at WV Caring Hospice in Elkins, WV. Born on August 28, 1941, in Benbush, WV, she was the daughter of the late Frank Elwood Moreland, Sr. and Rena Velma (Davis) Moreland.

Icolene retired as a Customer Service Representative and Data Entry Specialist for Sally Mae Financial in Tampa, FL. She loved spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by two daughters, Theresa "Sue" Warnick and Roberta L. Savage; three sons, Harry R. Shillingburg, Jr., Roger L. Shillingburg, and Rodney A. Shillingburg; grandchildren, Amanda J. Alexandrowicz, Jeremy L. Shillingburg, Jenna D. Shillingburg, Harley C. Shillingburg, Robert L. Shillingburg, Jason M. Shillingburg, Andrew R. Scheerschmidt, and Anthony R. Scheerschmidt; nine great grandchildren; brothers, Harley K. Moreland, Sr., Phillip M. Moreland, Sr., Michael W. Moreland, and Frank E. Moreland, Jr.; sister, Lyndol J. Shillingburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua A. Shillingburg; brothers, Samuel L. Moreland and Edward E. Moreland; and a sister, Marcia L. Lucas.

Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 710 Church St., Kitzmiller, MD, on Sunday, January 5, 2025, from 2 to 5 PM. A funeral service will be held in the Elk Garden Assembly of God, 28 Center St., Elk Garden, WV on Monday, January 6, 2025, at 11 AM with Pastors Virginia and George Tichinel officiating. Interment will be in the Kalbaugh Cemetery.
