Doris Shillingburg, 96, of Oakland, passed away on September 29, 2024, at Oakland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born on August 28, 1928, in Oakland, she was the daughter of the late George and Wilma (White) Ours.
Doris was a proud homemaker who loved taking care of her family and home. She enjoyed gardening, her flowers, time spent canning goods, and her dogs. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, George Deems and wife Darlene "Cookie", Paul Shillingburg and wife Linda, and John Shillingburg; grandchildren, Angela, Monique, and George II Deems, Scott Johnson, Jennifer Dalton and husband Randall,Eric Shillingburg and wife Natasha, Diana Hetrick, Jessica Fint and husband Jason, and Richard Hetrick and wife Heather; great grandchildren, Galee Hetrick, Tim Kilgore, Justin and Ben Hetrick, Jordyn Shillingburg, Bryttney Lewis and husband David, Elija Dalton, Brie Lynn Dalton, Bradley Fint, Nathan Fint, Jasmine Fint, Andrew Shillingburg, Alura Shillingburg, and Brooklyn Shillingburg; and a son in law, Jim Hetrick
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hobert J. Shillingburg; two stepchildren, Jerry Shillingburg and Gail Schrock; a daughter, Anne Hetrick; and a daughter in law, Jacqueline "Sue" Shillingburg.
A private graveside service will be held at King Cemetery. The C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., Oakland, is honored to be serving the Shillingburg family.
