Thomas Harold Callis, Sr., 90, of Oakland, passed away on February 28, 2026, at Garrett Medical Regional Center. Born on June 2, 1935, in Loch Lynn Heights, he was the son of the late Lawrence Clifford and Alma Elizabeth (Flannigan) Callis.
Tom worked at Brownings Grocery's for over 25 years, and opened and ran the Yum Yum Shop that was part of old store. He also worked at the Garrett County Lighthouse and would retire from there. He enjoyed baseball, swimming, and loved playing tennis. He was a very giving person and will be remembered for his kind-heartedness.
He is survived by his children: Tom Callis Jr., Cindy Cogley, David Callis, and Chris Callis.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Marie (Sines) Callis, and grandson Chad Callis.
Tom's request to be cremated has been honored, and no services are scheduled. The Fredlock & Fenner Funeral Homes, P.A. - Oakland Chapel, is honored to be serving the Callis family.
