Ida "Betty" Bond, of Myrtle Beach, SC, and formerly of River Edge, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025, at the age of 98.
Betty Bond was the devoted wife of Harold G. Bond for 60 years. She adored her family, loved going on cruises with Harold, entertaining family and friends and most of all cherished their family vacations to Stony Brook, Long Island. Betty was a woman of strong faith and a long-standing member of the First Congregational Church of River Edge, New Jersey. She loved working for the River Dell School District and retired in 1986 as a secretary in the Guidance Department of the River Dell High School. In August of 1989 Betty and Harold relocated to Calabash, North Carolina, where they happily resided for 30 plus years. Betty will be truly missed by her loving family and all who had the pleasure of being a part of her life.
She was greeted in heaven by her beloved husband Harold George Bond, her parents and siblings George, Paul, John, William and Annemarie.
Survived by her devoted children Richard Bond, Raymond Bond, Robert Bond, Suzanne Kolze, and Sallyann Bond. Dear grandmother of Michael, Daniel, David, Marissa, Christopher, Jessica, Alexandra, Kaitlin, Douglas, Samuel and Alden.
Funeral services will be held privately and she will be laid to rest with her husband at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in her memory to your favorite charity.
