Ida Mae Copeland, 83, of Folkston, GA passed away Thursday, November 21, 2024 in Jacksonville, FL following a short illness. She was born March 9, 1941 in White Oak, GA to the late Christopher Manor, Sr. and Inez Reed Dismuke. She was a nurse for over 35 years. Mrs. Copeland was a longtime member of St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Howard Copeland; a longtime companion: Bobby Hill; her loving step-father: James Dismuke, Sr.; 2-sisters: Janie B. Smith and Sandra Parrish and 5-brothers: Chris Manor, Jr., Clifford Manor, James Manor, Wallace Manor and Sylvester Parrish.

She is survived by her son and daughter in law: Jimmy and Donna Copeland; 3-grandchildren: Lamont Martin, DeChontelle (Shane) Patience and Jimmy (Jennifer) Copeland, Jr.; great grandchildren: Jolie Patience, Sean Martin; her adopted grandson: Shontae Jordan; 3-sisters: Linda (James) Clayton, Lois Dismuke, Jerelene (Isiah) Williams; 4-brothers: James (Ernestine) Dismuke, Jr., Terrell Dismuke, James (Nyanza) Parrish and Theodore Parrish and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Memorialization will be by cremation. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
