Aunt Ida was on my mind so much this Christmas season. I called her because I just learned the the Christmas flowers I sent every year were not delivered. I didn't want her to think I had forgotten her. She was my mom's big sister and she always took care of my mom. I loved the birthday cards she sent me every year and I tried to send one to her but I was not as organized as she was. When I was a child, she sent money in that birthday card and it was always a joyful moment when I had my own money to buy something I wanted. There are so many stories and memories. The most recent ones are the memories of the three sisters getting together to celebrate their birthdays after my mom moved to South Carolina to live with me. Another memory that stays with me is when Aunt Ida and Uncle Edward visited me when I moved to Williamsburg, VA. I had just adopted my first poodle and they were so sweet with her and gave me tons of advice on living with a puppy. I could go on and on since I have known her for 72 years. I will miss her so much.

This was my Godmother! She was always full of cheer. No one told me that she passed. I found out about 5 min ago today, Thursday at 4:00. Someone called me and asked me was it true. I had no idea! I was shocked. I will miss her and some of the history and funny jokes about me and my mom and Daddy Joe that she shared with me. Rest in heavenly peace Godmother. Love, Brenda
