Ida Lynn Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Harrod Brothers Funeral Home & Crematory - Frankfort on Dec. 29, 2025.
Ida Mae Day Lynn, beloved mother of Kelly Francis and Amy Day, departed this earthly life on December 17, 2025.

She was born on July 2, 1936, in Franklin County, Kentucky, to Clinton and Amy Estill Duvall.

Ida was a natural alto who loved singing in her church choirs. A truly multitalented woman, she approached everything she did with determination and grace. After growing up on a farm in Stamping Ground, Kentucky, she went out into the world and became many things throughout her life: a devoted wife and mother, secretary, racehorse owner, hobby farmer, realtor, and the very best "Nahnee" to her three grandsons-Max Day (Ashna), Joseph Francis, and Daniel Kahn.

She is also survived by her sister, Ruth Ann Beatty Price; her great-granddaughter, Alana Day; stepson Bart Lynn (Tina); and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, William Edward Day and Robert Charles Lynn; and son-in-law, Mark Francis.

Ida loved Jesus and her church family at Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church. Her life will be honored with a memorial service at Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church, at 2:30 p.m. led by Pastor Todd Lester on Saturday, January 3, 2026. Visitation will be at the church from 2:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.

The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers at Bluegrass Care Navigators for their compassionate and loving care.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church or Bluegrass Care Navigators.

Arrangements are under the direction of Harrod Brothers Funeral Home & Crematory.
