Ida Ollari Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Tazzini Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Oct. 1, 2025.
Ida Gloria (Lacivita) Ollari, 92, passed away peacefully at home on January 25, 2024, with her loved ones nearby and in her heart.
Born May 27, 1931, in Springfield, Massachusetts Ida grew up in the six-corners section of the city, the youngest daughter of Italian immigrants, Joseph and Antoinette (Veccharelli) Lacivita. She lived in Springfield for most of her adult life with her dedicated and loving husband of 61 years, Richard Lambert Ollari who predeceased her on May 15, 2015. Most recently she lived in Florida with her son Rick.
She was a graduate of Commerce High School, Class of 1948, and was active in many social and charitable organizations throughout her life, many involving Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Springfield.
Her loved ones will remember her as the consummate Italian Mom; a wonderful cook and homemaker whose greatest joy was sitting at the table with her family surrounded by good conversations and even better meals. Her Italian heritage was always on full display; in addition to her passion for food, she also loved to play cards and took great pride in her gardening & landscaping.
Ida enjoyed many trips throughout New England with her husband and close friends, and particularly cherished summers in Rhode Island.
She was resilient and no matter what challenges she encountered, Ida enjoyed life to its fullest with her extended Lacivita and Ollari families, a very close group of friends (six couples) affectionally known as the 'dirty dozen,' and many lifelong and new friends. She will be dearly missed.
In addition to her husband Richard, Ida was predeceased by her son, Robert Ollari, brother, Angelo Lacivita & wife June, sisters, Carmela McCarthy & husband John, Eleanor Makowicki & husband Mel, and Jean Chwalek.
Ida leaves her son, Richard Ollari & wife Linda, daughter-in-law Karen Ollari, granddaughters, Taylor Ollari, and Carlie Biron & husband Geoff, brothers-in-law, Lambert Ollari & wife Connie, and Alexander Chwalek, along with many beloved nephews, nieces, and extended family & friends.
Idas request for a private family service and burial at the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam will be honored.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of ones choice.
