Obituary for Ida Roberts
Ida Roberts, age 72, of
Panama City, Florida, passed away peacefully at her home on March 1, 2026.
Born on February 10, 1954, in
Wewahitchka, Florida, Ida was the daughter of Raymond Culpan and Ina Glass Culpan, both of whom preceded her in death.
Ida was deeply family driven and devoted her life to being a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her strong faith in the Lord was the foundation of who she was, and she shared that faith generously with everyone she encountered.
Throughout her life, Ida worked many years in the daycare at the beach, where she cared for and nurtured countless children with patience and love. She also spent many years working in telecommunications at Bay Memorial Hospital, where her dedication, reliability, and warm spirit left a lasting impression on coworkers and visitors alike.
Her warmth, guidance, and steadfast belief touched countless lives and will continue to shine through the family she leaves behind.
Ida is survived by her children: Michelle Roberts, Vickie Dutra, Shanna Roberts, Blake Culpan and his wife Brandy Culpan, and Jamie Lowenhaupt. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Chelsey McClure and her husband Paul McClure, Ciarra Layton and her fiancé Brandon Gundrum, Jozef Dutra, and Raymond Culpan; as well as her beloved great grandchildren: Jaylynn McClure, PJ McClure, Ellie Mae McClure, and Raylee McClure.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Reverend Craig Brannon officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home
In celebration of Ida's deep and unwavering faith, the family shares her favorite scripture, Matthew 10:30–31:
"But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows."
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the loving care provided by family members and Vitas's services during Ida's final days.
