Idabess Goldfon McClearn, 77, of McDonald, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 18, 2025, in Shadyside Hospital.
Idabess was born on August 6, 1947 in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Joseph and Zelda Whitman Goldfon and beloved niece of the late Sidney Whitman and Rosabel Whitman.
Mrs. McClearn was a homemaker all her life and truly devoted to her family. She loved being a wife, mother, and especially loved being a grandmother and great grandmother. Her grandchildren filled her with such joy and happiness and truly kept her young. Idabess loved watching her children and grandchildren grow and was so thankful to be such an active person in their lives. She also had a love for bingo that extended from years of playing with her family.
Surviving is her daughter, Janine (Charlie) Diloreto, step-son, David (Kim Leshen) McClearn Jr., grandchildren, Sydnie (Jake) Lyons and Raegan (fiancé Jake Schick) Hochman, great grandchildren, Avery Lyons and Emersyn Lyons, step-grandchildren, David McClearn III, Tiffany Shaffer, Chelsea McClearn and Alan McClearn.
Along with her parents, Idabess is preceded in death by her husband, David McClearn Sr.
A celebration of life will be held and scheduled at a later date for all to attend who would like to share their memories of Idabess.
All arrangements are private and entrusted to Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 314 W. Lincoln Ave., McDonald (724-926-2800).
