Ila Daphine Moss was born at Christie, Oklahoma on November 30, 1928. She was the sixth of eight children born to Robert Lincoln Moss and Nellie Josephine Moss.
Funeral Services will be 11 AM, Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Hart Funeral Home, burial to follow at Tahlequah City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 7, 20205 from 5 PM until 7 PM at Hart Funeral Home.
Ila walked 3 miles to her elementary school every day, attended Westville high school, and Northeastern State University. She loved music and enjoyed singing at Proctor church with her sister. She always had requests to yodel. She married Charles R. Littlejohn on August 10, 1952, and moved to New Orleans where they owned and operated the Vieux Carre private school and had a family of 4 children: Elizabeth, Jennifer, Charles R. II, and Timothy. There, Ila became a member of Eastern Star. She was a member of the local parent organization, the square dance club, and a ceramics group. The family moved to Eureka Springs, AR in 1972 where they owned and operated the Palace Hotel and Restaurant. From Eureka Springs they moved to Tahlequah, Oklahoma where they owned Fox Mobile Home Park and she continued her teaching career as a special education teacher at Briggs School. Ila attended First Baptist Church in Tahlequah.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Hurley, Dewey, Calvin, and Clyde, and sister Josephine, and her husband, Charles.
She is survived by her sisters Irene Davis and Evelyn Pither, her 4 children, Elizabeth (Charles) Tevebaugh, Jennifer Ellis, Charles R. Littlejohn II, and Timothy Littlejohn, 6 grandchildren, Megan Ellis, Chad (Amanda) Ellis, Luke (Brittany) Littlejohn, Levi (Victoria) Littlejohn, Sarah (Jospeh) McKee, and Emma Littlejohn, and 3 great-grandchildren, Jaxson Littlejohn, Acadia Littlejohn, and Roman Littlejohn, 4 step great-grandchildren, Parker McKee, Gunner Norris, Logan Norris, and Cayman Pingley.
In lieu of flowers, family request donations to the Alzheimer's Association or Good Shepherd Hospice of Grove, Oklahoma.
