Ileana Rodriguez, lovingly known as "Lily," was born on February 11, 1993, in Dallas, Texas. Tragically, she passed away on October 10, 2025, in Houston, mere days after welcoming her daughter, Angela Esmeralda Rodriguez, into the world. Angela, born on October 4, 2025, lived for three precious hours before reuniting with her mother in eternity.
Lily's life was characterized by her deep love for her family and her unwavering commitment to homemaking. She was a nurturing spirit, a devoted wife to her husband, Jose "Benny" Rodriguez, and a caring mother to her children, Delila, Benny, Isaac, Omar, and Christopher. Her love and presence will undoubtedly be sorely missed, as she filled her home with warmth and happiness.
Educated with an associate's degree, Lily not only valued knowledge but also cherished the life lessons that came from being a part of her large, loving family. She was the daughter of Maria Balderas and her step-father, Santos Balderas, and the beloved child of Horacio Navarro and his wife Celsa Navarro. Alongside her siblings, she found joy in sharing experiences with her sisters, Esmeralda Torres and her husband Rafael, Kimberly Soto, Maria Dolores Sanchez, Thayli Valdez, and baby sister Leah, and her brothers, Francisco Navarro with his wife Esperanza and Omar Navarro with his wife Isabel.
Lily's legacy extends to her wonderful nephews, Frankie, Arian Omar, Adriel Francisco, and her closest Evan, to whom she was like a second mom, as well as her cherished nieces, Alexia and Alyssa. Each of these young ones held a special place in her heart, and she inspired them through her kindness and support.
She joins her dear grandparents, Apolinar Serrano, Santiaga Aguirre, Margarito Navarro, and Felipa Soto; her aunts and uncles, Juan and Antonia Soto, Maria Serrano, and Carmelo Omar Navarro; as well as heavenly nieces and nephews who welcomed her with open arms.
A Mass service celebrating Lily's life will be held on October 18, 2025, at Quinlan Funeral Home in Quinlan, Texas. The ceremony will begin at 11:00 AM, with the service concluding at 12:00 PM.
Though our hearts are heavy with grief for the loss of both Ileana and her baby daughter, we also celebrate the love they shared and the memories they created. Lily will forever be remembered for her nurturing spirit, her fierce love for her family, and her enduring legacy as a devoted mother and wife.
