Ilene Rose Barnett a native of Manchester Jamaica, was born, April 5, 1964, one of 14 children, to the late Arthur Thomas and Louise Johnson. Rose as she was known by those closest to her grew up and was educated in Jamaica.
Rose met the love of her life Wendell Craig Barnett by means of the internet. After chatting for a couple of years they were married, February 5, 2019. After moving to Bowling Green, Rose became a member of the Bowling Green Seventh Day Adventist Church, where she was a very active with the Childrens Sabbath School Ministry. Rose loved studying her Bible and the name Rose that was given to her at birth was a perfect fit for her because she loved flowers. The beauty of watching them bub out and grow brought so much joy to her heart. Rose possessed a warm and kind heart lending a hand, sharing a smile to give comfort to all she came into contact with.
Rose was a Certified Nurse Assistant and held a Culinary Art Certification. One of her greatest accomplishments was receiving her United States Citizenship.
The memories of Ilene Rose Barnett will forever be cherished by her husband, Wendell Craig Barnett; children, Kadian Scott, Ontario, Canada and Jacian Chapman, Trelawny, Jamaica; 5 grandchildren; 6 sisters; 7 brothers; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
