Lannas Christiville Anschultz, age 90, of Crossville, Tennessee, passed away on August 25, 2025. He was born on July 28, 1935, in Waldenberg, Arkansas, to Rube Allen Anschultz and Della Mae Bradley Anschultz. There were six children in this family, three boys and three girls, and Lannas was second to the oldest.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rube Allen Anschultz and Della Mae Anschultz, of Grubbs, Arkansas, two brothers, RK Anschultz and James Allen Anschultz, of Grubbs, Arkansas, and one sister, Loretta Linderman of Seagoville, Texas.

In his younger years, Lannas grew up in their family farm in Poinsette County in Arkansas. Later on, the family moved to Newport and then to Grubbs, Arkansas where he attended Grubbs High school and graduated in 1956. After graduating he got a job at McDonald Aircraft in St. Louis, Missouri. Lannas enlisted in the US Army in August of 1957. He and Medrith met in the spring of 1957, fell in love, and were married in the fall on November 30th.

After two years of enlistment in the Army, Lannas and Med moved to St. Charles, Missouri where he went back to work at McDonald Aircraft. In 1965 they moved back to Grubbs and he soon began his career of 35 years in the propane gas business. His career propelled him and his family to move to several different locations, including Kentucky, Tennessee, upstate New York, the back to Kentucky in 1986. After retiring, he started his own business, AGA, a gas appliance service. Later, in 2016, he began working for C-2, which was his son, Chris', company, where he built industrial furniture.

Lannas was a people person, he enjoyed talking and laughing and loved little children and his smiled would always charm anyone he met. He had a big compassionate heart and he brought much glory to God through his willingness to help anybody in need. He loved to fish – it was his favorite pastime. He loved to eat them too! He was a worker and spent many hours in the shop. He enjoyed wood working and made lots of wooden trays and gave most of them away.

Lannas was a fine Christian man, who was smart and wise. He served as an elder in three different congregations- The Clifton Park Church of Christ in Clifton Park, New York – The Lehman Avenue Church of Christ in Bowling Green – and the Alvaton Church of Christ in Alvaton.

Lannas and Med had a long and happy marriage of 67 ½ years and were truly blessed by God with a beautiful, Christian family.

Lannas leaves comforting memories and a wonderful legacy to his wife and family. He lived a WELL lived life of love and service and brought glory to God. Lannas ran the race well and is now at rest with the Lord.

Lannas is survived by his wife of 67 ½ years, Medrith Moore Anschultz, and their children Gala Jean Covington and her husband, Mitchell Covington, of Crossville, Tennessee, Michael Wayne Anschultz and his wife, Jena Everett Anschultz, of Alexandria, Virginia, Sandra Lynn Bailey and her husband, Charles Bailey, of Crossville, Tennessee and Christopher Lane Anschultz and his wife, Joyce Montague Anschultz, of Eads, Tennessee.

Lannas is also survived by eight grandchildren: one grandson, Adam Michael Anschultz of Santa Barbara, California, seven granddaughters; Kristi Lynn Johnson and her husband, Tyler Johnson, of Maury City, Tennessee, Amber Michelle Ford and her husband, Gary Ford II of Bangkok, Thailand, Melissa Gayle Smith and her husband, Bobby Smith of Allendale, Illinois, Melinda Brooke Helton and her husband, Ryan Helton, of Crossville, Tennessee, Austin Rae Jamison and her husband, Graham Jamison, of Charleston, South Carolina, Nora Mackenzie Bennett and her husband, Blake Bennett of Oakland, Tennessee, and Jessica Laine Anschultz of Eads, Tennessee.

Lannas is also survived by six great-grandsons and seven great-granddaughters and two great, great granddaughters, two sisters, Dot Nicholson, and Sharon Clausen and her husband, Jimmy Clausen, all of Newport, Arkansas, and several nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Friday August 29, 2025 from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the J.C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 PM followed by burial in the Bowling Green Gardens.
