Imelda Elvira Paredez went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at the age of 90 years. Imelda is preceded in death by her parents: Felipe and Trinidad Paredez, brother, Gilbert T. Paredez Sr., and two sisters. Survivors include sister-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews, numerous great and great- great nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends. Ms. Paredez was retired from civil service after working 34 years at Lackland Air Force base, Randolph Air Force Base and Fort Sam Houston Army Base where she received several awards and recognitions. She earned her bachelors degree from Our Lady of the Lake University while working full time at her civil service position, and running the family business ( Flores Molino) in San Antonio, Texas. Her busy life also included being a full time care giver to both her parents. Most of all she loved her family and treated her nieces and nephews as her own children. She loved traveling and her cats. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 from 5:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. with a rosary to begin at 6:00p.m. at Alamo Funeral Home, 624 N. Alamo, San Antonio, Texas 78215. A procession will depart the Funeral Home at 9:30a.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2024 for a 10:00a.m. mass at Our lady of Sorrow Catholic Church, 3107 N. St. Mary's St. San Antonio, Texas 78212. Interment to follow at Sunset memorial Park, 1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, Texas 78218.
