Imogene Carpitcher

Imogene "Hill" Carpitcher, age 80, passed away Friday, July 29, 2022 at her home in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born on April 13, 1942 to Frank and Mandy Hill. She was the second of 9 children. Imogene was married on June 26, 1962 to Andrew Wayne Carpitcher.
Imogene was the mother of four children, Clarence Wayne Carpitcher, Wynona Sue West, Rose Ann Carpitcher, Ronnie Cornelius Carpitcher and one son-in-law Charles West, all from Oklahoma City. Imogene had 9 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Imogene loved life, family, and friends. The most important part of Imogene was her deep Christian Faith and she enjoyed her Bible daily. She loved sharing her faith in Jesus with everyone she knew, because of her love for Jesus, you could almost find her working in some capacity. Imogene would take the time to go visit, sing, and pray for them. She would always sing her favorite songs, "Amazing Love" and "Pass Me Not" in English or Creek.
Imogene had several interests, she enjoyed teaching, singing, and traveling. She loved it so much that most of the jobs she held consisted of her teaching children. Imogene received her C.D.A degree twice and bachelor degree at Oscar Rose State College and taught 8 different head-start schools for 42 years in Oklahoma City and finally retired from Community Action Agency.
Imogene "Hill" Carpitcher preceeding in death by her parents, Frank and Mandy Hill, husband, Andrew Wayne Carpitcher, two sons, Clarence Wayne Carpitcher and Ronnie Cornelius Carpitcher, three sisters, Leona Postoak, Jennie Trevina, Hilly Gunville, and one brother, Frank Hill.
Mom, grandma, and great-grandma, you will always be in our hearts. We love you and going to miss you so much.
Wake service will be held at 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Rock Spring Baptist Church in Sasakwa, Oklahoma.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Rock Spring Baptist Church with Charles West officiating. Interment to follow at Rock Spring Baptist Church Cemetery in Sasakwa, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers: Russell Hulbutta, Mike Shaffer, Matthew Carpitcher, Olie Gunville, Joey Hill, and Kevin Gunville.
Honorary Pallbearers: Aaron Hill, and Juan Perez.
