Imogene Mae Chatham, 100, of Vero Beach, FL, passed away June 3, 2025 at the Hidden Lakes Retirement Center in Vero Beach, FL.
She was born in Quincy, FL, on December 11,1924. She moved to Vero Beach in 1944 after marrying her husband, Thomas Chatham.
Imogene was a kind loving woman who spent many years aiding our youth as a school crossing guard, and devoted her time to the church and teaching Sunday school classes and spreading the word of Christ to many of all ages.
Survivors include: Grand-daughters: Candace Chatham Bennett, and Sarah Kane. Great-grandchildren: Anslie Bennett, and Dustin Nolan, and lastly her Furry Grand-puppies Blackie, Scooby, and Prada.
She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Clifton Chatham, her son, Daniel Chatham, her daughter, Rebecca Ellison, and her grandson, Michael Nolan.
Services: A memorial will be held at The First Baptist Church of Vero Beach at 10 am on June 14, 2025.
Imogene will always be remembered for her love that ran so deep for her family, friends, and the church. She will be remembered for the light that she brought into a world of many dark times.
