Imogene Ernst Obituary
She had been married to Robert "Bob" R. Ernst (deceased). She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Jean was a giving charitable person who did anything for anyone at anytime. She was predeceased by: Jess Lasure (father), Lorine Walls Lasure (mother), Robert R. Ernst (husband), brothers Douglas F. Lasure, Donald C. Lasure and sister Carolyn S. Simmons. She is survived by: son Robert "Drew" Ernst (Holly) Louisville, daughter Kim Denise Ernst Louisville, grandson Matthew Tyler Ernst (Stephanie) New Albany, IN., great granddaughters Leighton Sage. Ernst, Millie Jean Ernst and great grandson Jonah Matthew Ernst all of New Albany, IN.
After her working years for Trumpeters, Stewart's, General Electric and a licensed real estate agent she went into full time wife and mother homemaker. She was a member of Southeast Christian Church. Past member of the Joy class among others over the years. She was an avid Louisville Cardinals fan and past member of the Cardinal Dames. Past member of Hurstbourne Country Club. She loved working puzzles, cross word puzzles and card games.
Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Day Spring Foundation of Louisville, KY where her daughter lives.
Visitation will take place Thursday January 15 from 4 8pm at Highlands Funeral Home 3331 Taylorsville Rd.
Funeral service will take place Friday January 16 at 11am with interment to follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central.
