Imogene Hardwick, age 75 years, of Whitley City, wife of Roger Hardwick, died Thursday, October 10, 2024 at the Jean Waddle Care Center.
She was born in McCreary County, Kentucky on March 21, 1949 the daughter of the late John and Cassie Slaven Stephens. Imogene was a homemaker, and a member of Taylor Ridge United Baptist Church. She enjoyed attending her church, reading, camping and a good cheeseburger, but above all else she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Magdeline Gregory, and Madelene Thomas.
Survivors include her loving husband of 56 years, Roger Hardwick, of Whitley City, Kentucky; son, Jeffrey and his wife Angela of Whitley City, Kentucky; daughter, Donna and husband David Marler of Pine Knot, Kentucky; sister, Bobbie Jean and husband Alford Clark of Whitley City, Kentucky; grandchildren, Angel Bryant, Cassie Vanover, Elizabeth Griffis, Benjamin Marler, and Nicholas Marler; great grandchildren, Kevin Johnson, Logan Vanover, Taya Vanover, Kayson Jones, Jayden McGuckin, Gunner Griffis, Baisley Marler, Abagail Marler, Eli Marler, Bentley Marler, Maddie Marler and Zayden Jones.
She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her but we know that our loss is her eternal gain.
Funeral Services for Imogene are Monday, October 14, 2024 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of McCreary County Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 11:00 am until time for services. Brother Nate Howard is officiating with burial to follow in Holloway Cemetery.
McCreary County Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
