Inez Gholson, 82, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025, in Hilliard. Born on July 5, 1943, in Ironton, Ohio, she lived a life rooted in faith, family, and kindness.
Inez was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth Gholson Sr., and together they built a loving home centered around their children and shared values. She was a devoted mother to Kenneth Gholson Jr. (late wife Peggy), Rhonda Bullett (Jeff), David Gholson (Tammie), and her late son Dean Gholson (Lorri). Her love extended deeply to her grandchildren—Daniel, Jessie, Kendra, Tyler, McKenzie, Zach, Bryan, Dwight, and Duncan—and to her many great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy. Known affectionately as “Grannie,” she cherished every moment spent with them.
She is also survived by her sister Kathy Joseph and many nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart. Inez was preceded in death by her parents Emory and Irene Joseph and her brother Emory “Bub.”
A woman of unwavering faith, Inez was an active Baptist Christian whose belief in God guided every aspect of her life. She regularly attended church services and found great joy in gospel concerts that uplifted her spirit. Her home was always open to others—a place where everyone felt welcome. Visitors were often greeted by the warm sight of Inez with one of her beloved dachshund dogs nestled on her lap.
A Graveside Service will take place at Wesley Chapel Cemetery on Friday, September 26, 2025 starting at 11am.
