Inez Hample

Inez Lucille Hample passed away at 94 years of age on March 31, 2025 at the Oakes Good Samaritan Society.
She was born October 12, 1930 in Glover, ND. She was the 6th child out of 14 siblings born to Carl and Mary (Hajek) Iverson. During high school, she served meals to patients at the Oakes Hospital, having to carry the food trays from the basement to the 3rd floor. Inez was united in marriage to Dick Hample June 13, 1950, and they lived in Oakes their entire lives. They welcomed 3 children to their family. Inez worked as a telephone operator for Northwestern Bell for many years. She then worked at the Oakes Clinic under Dr. Craychee for 25 years. Inez was a member of Grace Lutheran Church where she served on numerous church committees over the years, with the majority of them serving meals to the bereaved families.
Welcoming her to heaven were her loving husband of 60 years, Dick Hample, parents Carl and Mary Iverson, in laws Gid and Mary Hample, siblings Charlie, Bob, Lawrence, Romie, Carroll, Buzz, Arvid, Shirley, Evie, Don, and Al. Her surviving siblings are her brother Ernest "Gene" Iverson and sister Sue Ellen Wagoner.
Family mourning her passing are children, Dirk (Patty) Hample, Mary (Tom) Bjornstad and Nancy Grewatz; grandchildren, Blair (Chris) Bond, Drew (Travis) Rohl, Laura (Ron) Koble, Dylan (Cassie) Knipple, Joel (Kori) Knipple, Eric Bjornstad, and Chris (Rolanda) Bjornstad, Abby Grewatz and Almir Methadzovic, Carley (Greg) McCrea; great grandchildren, Ayden and Bella Highet, Ethan and Connor Bond, Jude and Josie Knipple, Jonas and Reyna Knipple, Isaac and Madi Bjornstad, McKenna, Wyatt, and Molly Rohl, and Pierce McCrea.

The funeral will be held Friday, April 4, 2025 at 1:30 pm at Grace Lutheran Church in Oakes with visitation one hour prior. Burial will be at Oakes View Cemetery. Her service will be live streamed on the Dahlstrom Funeral Home website www.dahlstromfuneralhome on her obituary page.
