Inez Jesse Todd, age 91, passed away peacefully at home in Greeley, Colorado, surrounded by her loving family on July 11, 2025.
Born on September 2, 1933, Inez was the daughter of Esther Kate King. She was one of nine siblings, and three of her brothers and sisters survive her today. Though Inez lost her mother at a young age, she grew into a woman of extraordinary strength, humor, and compassion.
She was a proud veteran of the Women's Army Corps and later worked for many years as a respected legal secretary. Her dedication to service - both in her career and personal life - was a thread that ran through everything she did.
Inez was deeply rooted in her Christian faith and known for her resilience, wit, and kind heart. She was also a lifelong animal lover, caring for numerous stray cats over the years and supporting the Humane Society generously. Her compassion extended far and wide - to people, animals, and anyone who crossed her path.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Todd; her grandson Elijah Prieto; her mother, Esther Kate King; and her in-laws Lacue and Treva Todd.
She is survived by her children Jim Todd, Victoria Prieto, and Lisa Wegher, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren. Her family will remember her as a steady presence, a gentle soul, and a source of strength and warmth through all seasons of life.
A funeral service will be held on September 15, 2025 at 2:30 p.m. at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado. A memorial gathering will follow at her granddaughter's home: 1863 S. Hazel Ct., Denver, Colorado.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Inez's honor to your local Humane Society - a cause she cared about deeply and supported throughout her life.
