Inga Cooper Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Miller and Miller Funeral Home - Hugo on Dec. 9, 2025.
Inga Ingrid Sigrid (Koppe) Cooper, 76, was born on March 30, 1949, in Berlin, Germany, the daughter of Paul Koppe and Herta (Piske) Koppe. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bodo Koppe and Ingo Koppe and sister, Sigrid Blaskoeitz

Inga came to the United States as a student and thrived in the field of nursing. She became a Registered Nurse and worked many years in Texas and California. Her career was marked by an unwavering commitment to her patients, to whom she provided not only medical care but also comfort and support. Inga later met her loving husband, Terry Cooper, in 1990 and they were married in Hugo, Oklahoma, in 1992. They spent 33 loving years together and made their home in Antlers following Inga's retirement from nursing.

Inga's caring nature extended beyond the walls of hospitals and clinics. Her love for animals was a joy that she embraced wholeheartedly, and she was often found tending to the needs of stray pets, some which she would welcome into her home. Her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her, and her influence will live on in the countless lives she improved through her compassion and loving heart.

Inga is survived by her loving family; husband, Terry Cooper; sister, Ingrid Koppe; nephew, Dr. Oliver Jim Blaskowitz; niece, Linda Jennifer Steinmetzer and husband, Bjoern; their children, Lilly Sophie Steinmetzer and Anton Alexander Steinmetzer; niece, Petra Reckzeh and her daughter, Saskia Rechzeh; nephew, Mario Koppe and wife, Ilonka Koppe; their children, Marian Koppe and Julina Koppe; niece, Daria Koppe; niece, Diana Koppe; step children, Brad Cooper, Lyn McDade and husband, Paul, Leah Cox and husband, Sammy; step grandchildren, Lane Cox, Hunter McDade and Ethan Cooper, along with a host of other family and friends.
