Iona Lagarde Obituary
Visitation and funeral services will be observed on Saturday, October 22, 2022, from 11:00 AM until funeral time at 2:00 PM at New Zion Baptist Church 263 Grand Caillou Rd., Houma, LA 70363. Burial will follow at Union Benevolent Cemetery.
Iona is survived by her companion, Lawrence Collins. Sons, Jaron, Jamar, Cardell Lagarde all of Houma, LA and daughter, Onnea Lagarde of Dallas, TX. Brothers, Marvin (Barbara) Lagarde of Davenport, IA, Eugene, Robert and Julius Lagarde III all of Houma, LA. Sisters, Ethel L. Griffin, Juanita L. Collins, and Charlotte L. Thompson all of Houma, LA and Gail (Walter) Green of Baton Rouge, LA and nine grandchildren.
Iona was preceded in death by her parents, Julius Lagarde, Jr., and Julia Lagarde. Sons, Joshua and Jody Lagarde. Brothers, Berwick Lagarde, Sr., Antoine (Freeman) Lagarde and Junius Lagarde. Sisters, Geraldine Griffin, Mary Ann Lagarde and Coretha Lagarde.

To the Family: Keeping you all in my prayers and we will see her again. To my nephew(Lawrence Collins) try to think of the good times you had and if your love for her could save her she would still be with you.God needed another flower in his garden. Keep the faith.
