Muscatine, Iowa

Iona "Onie" Betty Miller, 88, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at MercyOne Genesis Hospital in Davenport.

Visitation will be 9 to 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home, West Liberty with funeral services to be held immediately following at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memory Garden Cemetery, Iowa City. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Onie's name to benefit the patients at Fresenius Kidney Care Muscatine.

Iona was born August 28, 1937 in Nichols, Iowa the daughter of Elmer and Elsie (Cowell) Saultz. She attended Fruitland School.

Onie was united in marriage to Joseph Miller on February 9, 1991 in Iowa City, Iowa. She enjoyed going to the casino, traveling with Joe, family get togethers, spending time with her friends at her apartment in Wilton and her grandchildren.

She is survived by her four children: Dale (Susan) Ross of Moscow, Barb Irwin of Marion, Leonard Herlein of Tipton, and Roxanne (Jeff) Veigelt of Williamsburg. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren as well as two brothers: Robert Kammerer of Muscatine and Darrell Saultz of Fruitland. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe in 2014.

Following the committal service, everyone is invited to a luncheon and a time of fellowship in remembrance of Onie at the West Liberty Community Center, 1204 North Calhoun Street, West Liberty.
